John Helliwell

John F. Helliwell is a one of the leading happiness reasearchers in the World. Senior Fellow of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research and co-director on "Social Interactions, Identity and Well-Being".

He is also Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of British Columbia, a member of the National Statistics Council, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research.

His many publications on wellbeing include The Science of Well-Being, Well-Being for Public Policy, International Differences in Well-Being (edited with Ed Diener and Daniel Kahneman), and the World Happiness Report (edited with Richard Layard and Jeffrey Sachs).
